At five years old, I told my parents that I wanted to be a doctor, and despite some detours (music, zoology, event and party planning), I never grew out of it. There is nothing else in the world I could possibly do but be a doctor. After an internship focused on family medicine, midwifery, and pediatrics, I dreamed of changing the status quo of primary care. I wanted to find a way to have longer appointments, less rush- a family friendly space that could truly make a difference in the lives of the people who come through the doors. Fortunately, I was given an opportunity to make that space a reality. Vitality Natural Medicine is now a real clinic, opening in the SW metro area that my family lives in and loves.
Over the last five years, I’ve focused deeply on preparing people to start a family, caring for people during pregnancy, the transition of postpartum, and early childhood. All of these topics are near and dear to my heart, though I love the variety that the rest of primary care provides as well. There is a special joy in being trusted with a newborn’s well baby exam, and I’ll never forget the hug a grandfather gave me after I got his rheumatoid arthritis under control enough that he could work with his hands again.
At Vitality, expect to be treated as more than just a number or a diagnosis code. I really care about who you are as a person, and how you fit into that social context that surrounds you. I want to practice individualized medicine for you, from a background of evidence based treatment. I invite you to join me here.
Let’s help you become the healthiest you can be.
